Cancer Awareness: April

I’m a bit late getting to the cancer awareness post for this month. (Partially because I’ve been feeling so lousy, lately.) April is a fairly busy month, with head and neck cancers, testicular cancer, and esophageal cancer laying claim to it.

As I’ve done since posting through every month so far, I will only touch briefly on the cancer types, and then link to the post which gives more information.

Head and neck cancers are represented by the multicolored burgundy and ivory ribbon. Testicular cancer is represented by the orchid cancer ribbon. Esophageal cancer is represented by the periwinkle cancer ribbon.

As always, know your body!

I am also a survivor of both ovarian and endometrial cancers (plus breast and colon pre-cancers), and pay it forward by volunteering for Relay for Life and The American Cancer Society.
