TGIF? (More Updates)

Well, Friday was…interesting. It brought some good news and some bad news.

The bad? Brian got into a car accident. Thank God, he is fine. (Just a minor scratch/cut where the seat belt cut into his neck.) He was using my mini van though, and the car is a wreck. He got hit on the driver’s side, and it’s pretty bad. Looking at the damage, there’s no “logical” reason why he should be ok. His Angels were working overtime. 🙂 Besides the fact that he is ok, it was another miracle that none of the kids were in the van! In the long run, Brian still has his car for work, so no worries there. I can’t drive anyhow, anymore, so it was only my parents driving my van for the kids. And my mom has an identical van (in a different color) anyhow. It’s amaing how these things work out. So if it is totaled, there’s really no big deal. Maybe some pics to follow…I think my husband posted them to Facebook.

The good? I saw my pain management doctor in the morning. We discussed the fact that the pain meds did help for a bit, but now my ankle is hurting more. Plus, the pain meds don’t help all that much when stepping on it. So the dosage has been increased, just a little bit. During my original appointment, they discussed the possibility of getting my own electric stim machine for home use (kind of like the ones they use in physical therapy.) We brought the subject back up, and they prescribed this for me. 🙂 The company that deals with this will be ordering one, and getting it cleared though the insurance. This is one step, at least, towards getting some relief for my foot. The great thing is, the pain medications double as a help for my hernia pain.

Today? Will be working on my daughter’s Valentine’s Day box for school. And then, I volunteered candy for school, so I will be putting my Cricut to some use. 🙂 Maybe some pics of that to follow.
