Well, my surgery is finally scheduled! Well, for the hernia repair, at least. Looks like this will not be a combo surgery, after all, and the adrenal gland will have to be addressed at another time. The hernia surgery will be on Tuesday the 21st. (I got to go for pre-admission stuff tomorrow.) At least I won’t be in so much pain…
On a side note, the last time I was in the hospital (June 1-5) my mom got a strange phone call from CitiBank. Apparently, I had won first place in the CitiCards Story of a LifeTime Sweepstakes from Nov/Dec of 2008! The prize? A $1000 gift card (that can be used anywhere)! Talk about God providing money just when you need it! I am out of work again while waiting on my surgery, and my disability pay has long since run out. This will really help out with household expenses. CitiBank called so I would know that the prize vendor was legit and not a scam. I did, unfortunately, have to go to the bank to get the papers notarized. (Tax stuff, because it’s claimed on my income taxes.) Just finally got the card today – woo hoo!
